Is this a perspective thing? In the second picture, he looks *TINY* - like, preemie tiny. But 8 lbs is a good healthy weight. And in the first picture, he looks like, well, a baby.

(You're allowed to say it doesn't look that different to you too - it might just be that I haven't seen enough newborns from enough angles.)
