I think it is smart, being prepared for the worst, while hoping for the best. Things don't alway go as we hope - and sometimes, the world decides before we get a chance to weigh in. Good on you for being ready for it, even as you hope it never comes to that. Methinks reality will bite a lot of people in the worst way when that time comes.
