Methane isn't nothing. But yeah, it's not going to fix everything by its self.
I have a friend who talks about harm reduction in the context of climate change-- we should do what we can that will help, because it will reduce the overall impact, even though we (at least me!) have been wishing for one thing that will fix everything. But try to burn less petroleum, eat less beef, grow veggies in your yard-- it will reduce it a little bit.
