I was at work yesterday, and a man came in to pay for his gas. When he bent his head over his checkbook, I had the strangest urge to run my fingers over his hair. Then I realized that his hair was cut just like Mike's, though it wasn't exactly the right color. When I took his check and thanked him for his purchase, he held my eyes for a moment, and I wonder now if I was throwing off phermones or something.

Last night, Carl said - "I was expecting to feel all sad about Dad being gone, but, well, I don't really feel sad, but I feel bad that I don't feel sad. It's very weird."

I need to go into town and take care of some errands. My phone stopped working yesterday. There's no dial tone, and when people call, they just get a busy signal.

I feel disconnected as well. Odd, and fey.
