when the world
goes mad

be wildly kind to everyone

and I know how heavy the word
"everyone"is right now

~my love, we can't control
much down here
but we can still control how
we treat others

in these breaking-news
heartbreaking times when
nothing feels certain let our
raw kindness be a constant

allow our compassion
to become a North Star
stamped up in the sky for

other to follow
back home
