It’s long past my bedtime. But I was so tired after supper that I fell asleep from 8pm till 11pm, and now I’m wide awake.

I had a wonderful time in Minneapolis. I met people for the first time that I’ve been talking to for years on line – I think that I first started posting to alt.poly in 1998. I was grinning and smiling so much all weekend that my cheeks still hurt.

At the end, Sunday afternoon, a big group sat and listened to me read the prologue and first chapter of my book, Lewis Door. I especially wanted to get [livejournal.com profile] elisem and [livejournal.com profile] kightp 's reactions.

They liked it. “Is it finished?” Elise asked.

“Almost,” I replied, rather breathlessly. “I just have the last few chapters, and they’re in my head.”

“Finish it, so that we can all read it,” she said.

Len and I talked over the weekend. It was a bittersweet time for us. I wonder how often it is that lovers touch each other for the last time, knowing that it is the last time, wanting to make it special and etch every smell and taste and touch into their memory.

There have been times when the man has driven me absolutely nuts, when I was impatient for the relationship to end so that I could get away from the drama. But I would turn and he would be there, and we could make each other laugh, and love each other in bed, and I will miss him terribly.

I have an anatomy exam in the morning and a physiology quiz at noon. I need to go to bed. Soon.

Well, tho I have not been around much online Sweetie, I am not going anywhere.
You make it like your attending my funeral. *sniff*
You are one of the most wonderful and loving people I have ever known, and your not losing me that easily.
I love you.
