Nov. 26th, 2007 11:52 amI have a very hard time not eating stuff that I've put on my plate, even if I really don't like it. So I've eaten about 5 more chunks of really bad sweet-n-sour chicken than I wanted to; I realized what I was doing when there was one chunk left. It is sitting in a pool of sauce in the middle of the plate, oozing rubbery approbation. Ha! Take that, unappetizing food!
I worked on the psych paper last night. There is a schema for anxiety/impulsivity that looks to inhibition of behavior (anxiety) and activation of behavior (impulsivity) -- except that many researchers use the word "disinhibition" instead of "activation". I find this word use very unfortunate and I ranted at a poor art student for 15 minutes last night about how some researchers need better editing. Poor kid. But, "disinhibition"? Holy Wah.
I'm in an amazingly good mood for someone who will get no sweetie-time this week because of extra work hours. I think I'm on a manic upswing. Music on the cd player -- Blackmore's Night --
You looked into my eyes /
you had me hypnotized /
and I can still remember you..
Do you ever think of me /
and get lost in the memory /
when you do, I hope you smile /
and hold that memory for a while ...
What a sweet song. mmmm.
Ack - time to pack up and go get Kyle for his appointment.
