ljgeoffI'm at the home health job. The elderly couple I work for have a small home on the shore of Lake Superior, with picture windows that look out over the lake. About a month ago, one of the other aides started putting out deer feed -- three whitetails are munching away, about 15 feet from me. They looked up when I walked across the room, but just perked their ears and slapped their tails a few times.
I woke up at 7:30 this morning to pouring rain. Because the beginning of the month was cold, even below average (daily temps in the Fahrenheit teens and nights down to zero), there were several newspaper editorials saying "See? All that global warming is just a bunch of liberal bunk." The rain has stopped for now. Temps are supposed to fall during the day, and we're supposed to get 6"-12" throughout the day. The west looks very ominous.
Ah, my lady is up -- time to go make breakfast.
