the usual concerns

ljgeoffAn interesting morning - Mike went off with Mel yesterday morning on a trip down to Wisconsin. They're on a job, moving a lady with one of Mel's u-hauls. Last night Mel got stopped for speeding (he must have been half asleep, because he never speeds), and got arrested because of an outstanding warrant. I talked to Mike a couple of hours ago, and he had no idea what the warrant was for. He's following Mel over to ... hm, can't remember where, but Mel's gotta talk to a judge.
Thing is, Mike got paid yesterday, and instead of leaving the money for me, took it with him. So we might be bouncing a check today (sigh)
I'm working about 50 hrs/wk at $6/hr. Mike is working about 20 hrs/wk at $8/hr plus one weekend a month for Nat'l Guards. Our tax return this year will cover the past due child support that Mike owes, and his Guards pay will keep us current on that. (my ex owes me about $10,000 but I'm sure I'll never see it) Mike's student loan is in default, and mine is gonna be too if I don't make a payment this month. All of the other bills got paid on time this month except the cable and car insurance. I dunno, we might lose the cable. Oh, well, summer's almost here, and the kids can play outside like they should.
All I ever worry about is income vs. bills. I suppose that if I didn't have that to worry about, I'd have something else, but, really, that's the only thing in my life that's driving nuts.
