ljgeoffI'm in a great mood this morning. I don't really know why, because I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night -- guess that's all I needed. Got the kids up and to school and headed to Biolife to sell my plasma, but my iron is too low, so I'm sitting at NMU's cafeteria, waiting for the blacksmithing forge to open.
Today, I've got to get my registration fee sent off to Bay De Noc Community College; I'll be doing a dual enrollment with Bay and NMU. My two lowest grades at NMU have be Chemistry I & II (C and C+), so I'm registered for Chem II this summer, and Chem I this fall. I should get somewhere between a 3.3-3.5 GPA this semester, which'll bring my cumulative up to 3.17-3.2. Boosting my chemistry grades up to B+ would bring me up around 3.3 GPA.
I really can't decide what to do. If I get in at Bay, it'll take 2 years to get my RN, but the first year, I've already taken most of the classes -- I just need 5 credits in the fall, 7 credits in the winter, and 10 credits next summer('09) and I'll have my LPN. For my RN, I'd go on to do 15 credits in fall '09, and 14 credits in winter '10.
While I am getting my RN at Bay, I was thinking I'd finish up my psych BS at NMU.
The thing is, if I go to Bay, I don't need to repeat the Chemistry. Though maybe I should, if I'm going to go on for my PA. Some programs require a 2.0 in chemistry, and some a 3.0. Aarg! I don't know what to do. My adviser is no help. Most PA programs require a Bachelor's degree, but not a BSN.
Since I promised Mike I'd stay in the States 'till 2012, I'll probably do my PA (if I do my PA) where ever we end up for his job. He's looking at a either teaching in Lansing or maybe applying to a couple of box-haulers in Wisconsin.
