ljgeoffI was late for the panel and on entering, was dismayed(1) to see one of the authors from the previous panels sitting right up front.
First, I learned something new. "Cherryh" is a pseudonym. Wollheim suggested that she add the "h" -- her actual surname is "Cherry."
So, again, a panel of the obvious. There was a fellow in the back who made a couple of interesting observations, but mostly it was a bunch of people ohh-ing over how an the author turned gender issues on their heads. I was disappointed that this part that was in the program was never discussed. "Cherryh not only cogently outlines the blow-back and conservative reactions to change, but also the individual costs."
