more words and shop stuff

ljgeoffI finished the rough of the Alkyone story -- it's over here. Total word count on the project, to date, is 11,630.
I've got into a nice rhythm of writing at the shop. I write, a customer pulls up and I take their order and make their drink, but when they pull up, it's like a part of my mind twins off and I'm still writing as I mix their drink. It's kinda cool.
Last week, our neon "Open" sign crashed to the floor and broke. Since then, our sales dropped about 15%. The new sign should be here in a week. We still have other open signs, our lights are on and all that -- it's just that the open sign that broke was very bright.
Hopefully, our friggin' highway sign, the big one, will come in this week. It was due last week.
