deadline!

Aarg! I missed my deadline for the new short. But it is coming along. I can feel the shape of it, like sticking your hand in a box and trying to figure out what all those interesting knobs and dents are -- I've got about 600 words on it, and it'll go to 3-4K, I think.

Like Earbrass, I write a bit, pace, pick up stray objects, stare off into space, write, pace ....
