Oct. 24th, 2008 07:37 amMy grandson was delivered, safe and sound, yesterday at 5:15 pm. Mother, Father and baby are all fine. He weighed in at a bit over 8 lbs, with thick sand-colored hair and fair skin (recessives, all around!)

I went to go see him after I got off work last night. He has Carl's lips (like mine) and a Native American nose (his mother's father is Anishnabe).
I was surprised by that moment of recognition, that "Ah, there you are!" -- I wasn't expecting it from a grandchild. His name is Seth Pierre, and for some reason, the name fits him perfectly.
