design help?

I'm looking for some layout design help for ever_was. I want to put a banner up on top and have sidebar links to each episode. Bleh. I feel stupid, like I should be able to figure it out.

I know you can change layout and stuff from the customize journal menu, which takes you here: http://www.livejournal.com/customize/#layout

yeah, I've made a few changes, but how do you put a banner up? Or, well, make a banner, for that matter. I'd need photoshop or somesuch. Or just have someone make one for me, of course.

Um. Now I have to think a bit. Do you like making banners? It looks like fun.

This image (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/new_age_hippie25/david%20tennant%203/scruffy.jpg) is nice. And I love this one (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/09_04/piper2909_468x375.jpg) of Piper and her husband -- don't know what you could do with it, though.

The kiss from "Journey's End" should probably be in there, and the text "...same as it ever was..."
