Good Elf Ranger Mage

Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Deity:
Mielikki is the Neutral Good goddess of the forest and autumn. She is also known as the Lady of the Forest, and is the Patron of Rangers. Her followers are devoted to nature, and believe in the positive and outreaching elements of it. They use light armor, and a variety of weapons suitable for hunting, which they are quite skilled at. Mielikki's symbol is a unicorn head.

Yesterday was my birthday, and I had a wonderful party at Len and Laura's. Attended by Mike, Carl, Sam, Luke, Len, Laura and myself -- we had pizza, watched _Extraordinary Gentlemen_ and had cake. It was wonderful. Luke fell asleep on me during the movie, and Len and I held hands. I felt that Mike was a little pushy with Laura, but that's Mike.

Oh, my

On January 14, 2004, I wrote to Len:

"I've been hesitant to tell you my exact age because I worried over your reaction. Steady yourself, man! Today I am 43. Ah, there, I said it. Are you afraid? When I was eight years old, I watched the TV, fascinated, as men walked on the moon. When I was 25, I wept over the lost Challenger astronauts. My first vote was cast for Jimmy Carter."

Len's reply:

"You put down any worry you may have about your age in regards to me. :) (ie,... your not gonna scare me away that easily *grin*) I had gracefully skipped around the age question, because a gentleman does not ask a lady her age. :)

First off, 43 isn't a big scary number to me, regardless of all the social stigma that seems to go with being in ones 40's, or falling in love with someone not of your immediate age group.

Personally, I happen to have quite a strong attraction for women older than I. I was terrified that I might be too young... And I have to admit that I was steeling myself for a shattered heart on that one. Just goes to show we do think a lot alike."
