5 things make a post
Feb. 20th, 2009 02:09 pm-- Last night, my 8-yr old son happily showed me his new snack food: he took an uncooked square of ramen, sprinkled the flavor packet over the top and happily crunched away. Now, there's been this ongoing thing with Luke and food, so I tried to keep my comments to a strangled moan. He only eats about six or eight different foods, so anything new must be greeted by acceptance. Personally, I think he's yanking my chain, but, well, I guess I deserve it.
-- I had a really great conversation in the psych lounge with a guy that's in one of my classes about Jung, the idea of collective unconscious and biopsychology. What is more human that our genes, than the inherent structure of our brains?
-- I blew off a meeting with my Research Methods professor, and he has forgiven me. Sometimes I am such a dick. He thought I was just a flake, poor fellow. I decided not to educate him further into my character.
-- which makes me think of an old lover of mine, and how he'd get so mad when I'd do stupid shit, and I'd say that I didn't know why, and he'd not believe me, because *no one* does such stupid things without intention. But I really didn't know. Poor fellow. Ha. Poor then-me.
-- Getting permission to use a snippit of song in ones commercial fiction is a bit of a challenge. Hopefully, this next round of emails will be more productive.
