flist o' wonder?
Mar. 26th, 2009 01:39 pmwhat's it called when a writer inserts a real person's name in a story? Aarg, my poor old brain, I want to say that it starts with an F, like "ferberster" or something like that. An example is a writer of an X-Files ep, who used his mother's name for a victim who got eaten by cats, or rats or something.
I did this once when I was indexing; I put a lover's name in the Author index of a sociology text. Page 241, I think. That still makes me grin.
