one week countdown
Apr. 5th, 2009 06:41 pmI'm waiting for Planet of the Dead with an odd dread. The Next Doctor was ok. But these one hour bits with no story arc and characters that I can't care about because I'll never see them again - meh.
I'm feeling my fannish devotion fading. Even the fic I read doesn't give the same joy that it did. And my own fic feels flat. Maybe I'm just mourning the loss of Ten. I'm sure Eleven will be wonderful. I have a feeling that Moffat will be great. I've heard of Nine shippers who fell in love with Ten. But Ten is my Doctor. And Sunday will be that kind of torture where you get what you want but, in taking it, you know that it puts you that much closer to the end of it.

Date: 2009-04-06 07:04 pm (UTC)I have confidence in Moffat's abilities--one need only watch "Blink" and "The Girl in the Fireplace" to see that a) he's brilliant, and b) understand his material.
Also, I wanted to say that I LOVE that icon. Mind if I steal it?

Date: 2009-04-06 08:47 pm (UTC)#9 was my first doctor, and I loved him. But #10 became "my" doctor. I have an odd feeling that I'm not going to be as open to change this time 'round.
