one week of macrobid
Apr. 8th, 2012 11:41 pmLast week, I dreamed that I had a UTI. I woke up thinking hmm, should I get that checked? and then, over the course of the day, figured no, it was just some irritation from not rinsing off well enough in the shower before going to bed. No big deal.
Until 2am the following night, when I was calling myself all kinds of names for not listening to my obviously wise back brain. I made it through the night and into see my doc the next morning. I've never been on macrobid (nitrofurantoinis) and was unprepared for the side effects. In fact, it wasn't until today that the exhaustion that I've been feeling clicked -- I thought that it was a worsening symptom of my depression and was actually getting pretty worried about it. Then it dawned on me; antibiotic -- destruction of mitochondria -- exhaustion. Oh yeah.
So tomorrow is my last day. I feel like I've been on a greyhound bus for a week. Have you ever been on a really long bus ride? You lose time. Where did my week go?
It is especially problematic because we had a hard frost while I was loopy and I forgot to bring in my flats. Everything made it okay except for the tomatoes and basil. Almost all of my tomatoes are toast. I think that some of the Amish Paste made it. I'm going to have to replant. :(

Date: 2012-04-09 03:18 pm (UTC)I'm not a believer, but I love any day that brings family together, and I do love tradition, so we had a traditional day of baskets and hiding colored eggs and a nice dinner shared by as much family as we could gather together. It was lovely.
