ljgeoffJust got off the phone with Laura - trying to work out the logistics of getting Jake's car to the Crossroads shop so I can see if I can fix it, or if I need to bring it in to a mechanic.
I've decided to be more upfront about things that are bothering me, so when Laura said, "I'd like to watch the kids tonight, so that you can be with Len. I think it would help him alot to see you."
I replied, "Um, I dunno how I feel about being used as therepy."
She said, distressed, "No, I mean, you two haven't seen each other in a while, and I'd like to help." There are tears in her voice.
"Yeah, ok," I concede. "That'd be nice." But what I'm thinking is that -- I love you, dear woman, but I don't want you to facilitate my relationship with Len. For some reason, when you play his part, it makes him less real to me.
