First, I am pleased, relieved, and feeling such love -- my Go Fund Me has been a huge success and I will be able to pay for the stuff I need to begin nursing school.

Second, OMG. I mean, there's one thing to say Yay! I got in to nursing school! Go me! and another to realize that OMG I'm going to nursing school. I am terrified and certain of success at the same time.

I have most of my paperwork completed -- I need to get an Hep B vaccine and complete my Basic Life Saving for Medical Professionals class -- but those things will be completed on time. We were all given a pre-test on Wednesday last, in reading, writing, math and science. I got an overall 92%, so I'm feeling pretty good (100% reading, 97% writing, 93% math, 80% science.) According to teh internets, the average for incoming nursing students is an overall 86%.

Both of the little boys will be going to school next year, so I won't have to worry much about daycare. Trentyn will be in kindergarten at Lansing Charter Acadamy and Zary will be at the LCC Headstart. Luke is continuing with homeschooling -- he took the Michigan high-school graduation equivalency tests (GED) this summer and passed them but the scores could be higher and it showed us some bare spots that we can work on. If he was in public schools, he'd be entering ninth grade this fall. He is still having problems with anxiety, especially social anxiety. But on the other hand, he's being very active in the community theater doing set construction.

Jerome is still in jail but should be getting out soon. He won't be able to live with us (thank ghod) and at this point I have absolutely no idea of how things are going to go with him.

Work-wise, I'm going to be leaving this private-duty job in two weeks and will start a job search for something that will work around my nursing school schedule. I'd love to get something in a hospital or maybe CMH. I'm a little stressed out about money but trying to hold that all in check.

I'm going to the UP for the first week of August! We'll be camping out on a 40-acre parcel that we're interested in -- scope it out and all.

So, I'd say that I'm pretty stressed out, excited, relieved and trying to hold on.
