taking a breath

I knew that this El NiƱo year would cause me to be more anxious about where I'm at with The Plan, so I'm using all of my anti-anxiety techniques to calm down. I look at properties. I go over the short range financial stuff. I look at how the kids are doing, career and skills wise. I build my cabin in my head and note the job prospects around Negaunee, and the pay scales. I think about my garden, what's worked, what hasn't and why, and what I want to grow this year.
But this year is gonna be tough. The arctic is in the worse shape ever, with the downward spiral of multi-year ice looking like it might bottom out soon. Once that happens, we'll see a big jump in warming from decreased albedo and sea bed methane emissions -- I kinda stopped posting "faster than expected" studies, but here's a new opinion piece in the NYT by a couple of scientists talking about their work.
Ok, one foot in front of the other; off to work.
