We're having a family vacation in the UP this year: the UP State Fair. It's a bit of a misnomer. It's more of half-a-state fair. But we love it.

We're going to drive up from Lansing on August 15, go to the fair on the 16th, hang out with family on the 17th and 18th, and drive back home on the 19th. Maybe I'll enter some jam!

The other thing I'm working on is a family vacation for Summer 2019 -- we're all going to Mackinac Island. It's gonna be wonderful!

If anyone wants to come hang out with us, feel free! I've always been a the-more-the-merrier type. Hopefully I'll do more than just sleep for three days like I did at Wiscon!

I've heard lots of ads for da UP State Fair, when I was canoeing back in my teens. In sunny downtown Escanaba! (We didn't hear the ads in the canoes but in the vehicles on the way to the Lake (Michigan or Superior).) Have fun!!!

Ha! Yes, it is right downtown! I think that the fair goers double the town population for that week. I will have a *great* time!
