Oct. 28th, 2005 06:54 pmI was just reading my friends' journals, and it got me feeling wistful. Or maybe it's just that Mike is getting on a plane tomorrow morning for Iraq, and I won't see him for six months.
I want to take a walk with
serenejournal. I want to stop by
ailbhe's for tea and play with Linnea's piggy toes. I want to sip wiskey and watch a movie with
kightp. I want to go laugh at
james_nicoll's cats. I think that
elissaann and I would laugh and laugh.
And I know, frustratingly, that I don't know any of you, not really. How wonderful, I think, if I did.

Date: 2005-10-28 11:41 pm (UTC)We really, really ought to figure out a way to get you to the next apc (or perhaps the one after, since the next is in New Zealand and I'm not sure many people will be there..) Thanks to those particular gatherings, I've met more of my Imaginary Internet Friends over the past couple of years than in all the time I was on line before then.
And a couple more *hugs* thrown in for good measure.

Date: 2005-10-30 03:54 pm (UTC)I've been thinking about hosting a polycon, but I'm not sure that anyone would come up this way. I could host one somewhere a little more central-midwest, I suppose. But it'd be cool to have everyone come up here. :)
