Little Family Fallout

ljgeoffChristmas at Mike's folk's house actually went ok. Mike's mom simply said to me, "I got your letter, and that's ok, I just don't want it happening when Mike's staying at my house."
We stayed at a hotel on Thurs and Fri night, and Mike went to Cheryl's on Friday night, and Mike's mom was angry with him, but I didn't get any of it. I don't think that it was even very traumatic for her.
Mike and Cheryl exchanged hickey marks, and it bothered me a little. I needed to noodle on it for a while. I always saw marks as signs of possession, and I've never liked them. After thinking about it, I decided that, like a piercing or tattoo, it's Mike's body and Mike's decision. It didn't mean much to him, and he was confused about why I would think it was any big deal. If I was putting a mark on someone, it would be a big deal to me. I considered marking Mike the night before he went to see Cheryl next, and decided against it. It just doesn't feel right, and those kinds of games are squicky.
