I have a program called Diet Power. My goal in using this program is to eat healthier. I'd like to lose a little bit of my fat, but I'm not that worried about it. I love my body; it's strong and healthy, and I like the way that it looks.

So, I've been logging my food intake since Jan 1, and this is the results: I'm eating about 2300 calories a day, with 43% of my intake in carbs, 39% in fat (all kinds), and 18% in protien. I'm also eating about 3540mg of sodium per day, about 244% of the recommended amount.

I take a multivitamin, so my vitamin and mineral stats look ok, but some of them, like Vitamin A are too high (440 % of the recommended Daily Requirement). I'm thinking of taking a children's chewable, and supplementing that with additional iron and calcium.

The program says that I have a metobolic rate of 2949 calories/day! Wow. My job is pretty physical - alot of lifting and slinging heavy boxes and alot of walking. I'm 5'6" and weigh 225 lbs, and I wear a size 18W pant and a size 42 shirt, so I think I have a fair amount of muscle mass.

My mother's mother died of breast cancer at 56, and my father's mother died of old age at 98. But my father's mother started having mini-strokes at around 65, and by the age of 80, she was pretty senile.

I have this condition where hard lumps form in my fatty tissue, called lipomas. They are completly painless and cause no problems, except that my breasts are very lumpy. (My doc said that they were like spaghetti and meatballs!) So, I'm keeping an eye out for bad breast lumps, and I'm thinking of starting up an aspirin regimin.

So, here's my goals (along with almost everyone else in the US) Less fat, less salt, watch the vitamins, take a baby aspirin, and have regular visits to the doc.
