Limbo was a stupid idea, anyway.

I never really believed in limbo. I was raised Catholic, and I remember questioning it even as a young child -- that is, that everyone who wasn't a baptized Catholic was either going to limbo or hell. What a stupid idea.

I don't understand limbo in the Christian context. I have read the Bible, including the book of Thomas, and Gospel of Judas, and I have never seen anything that makes any reference to purgatory. I believe in a metaphysical place between Earth and transcendence that a person can go to who is not "enlightened" enough or willing to move beyond, but does not wish to incarnate to the physical. I have a vague sense of what purgatory is like through my half-failed attempts to interact with it.
