the wonder of hormones

I suppose that it is because I've started my period and so my hormones have fluxed, but this morning the world feels to be a much more hopeful place. My main annoyance at this very moment is the Christmas music that is playing in the bagel shop I'm sitting at. I like Christmas music, but I wish they'd wait 'till it was a bit closer to the day.

On Wednesday, I drove the kids down to my mother-in-law's home. We listened to a book on tape, and the seven-hour drive went fast. Mike got there an hour or so after us. We stayed up talking until late, and in the morning we had sex so sweetly that it made me cry -- not in a bad way, just that I miss him so.

I drove home Thanksgiving day and worked 2:30p-9:30p at the elderly couple I'm an aide to, serving up the dinner that one of the other women made. I made a pie, and the three of us ate a good dinner and then watched "March of the Penguins". It was a nice evening. After work, I went and walked my step-son's dog (he's at Grandma's) and then went home, took care of my own animals and fell right to sleep.

I have no school and no work today. My mother is meeting me in about 15 min. to buy me my Christmas present. I was nominated to the APOFF. Mike will drive the boys home tomorrow and stay through Sunday. My mother-in-law is giving me some money to buy the kids some Christmas presents.

Life is good.

I think it's more than just your hormones, this holiday was much better for me and the people around me than last year.

I'm glad that you had a good day! Thoughts of you kept nudging me all day, but not with enough force to get me to write an email -- I was a little fried from all of the driving.

But I have the most wonderful feeling of you close by --
