Today, I learned how to use a multimeter. I think I finally have volts, amps, and resistance figured out. The book we have uses a water simile, and that works ok, but the body's circulatory system works better: systemic vascular resistance (SVR) is resistance in ohms, cardiac output is current in amperes and blood pressure is voltage.

I also learned how to light a forge and had a very cool demonstration of working mild iron (wrought iron), and now I have permission to go into the forge and play.

And I have my work schedule filled. When I look at the whole week it's pretty intimidating, but if I look at it one day at a time, it's not so bad. Actually, I tend to break the day up into 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Gotta get to class (Food and Culture, or "knowing a people by what they eat").

No word yet about Lewis Door, and another 1000 words on the WIP.

Dang! Maybe you can show me next!

(I've had a couple of these for like, forever, but never actually gotten around to use them for anything except continutiy checking.)

It just occured to me that, though I have a rough idea of how to use a multimeter, I'm still a little hazy on practical application.

But I have a Project that I'm working on. I'm going to blend my blacksmithing class and my wiring class and make a lighted pot rack, something like this (http://www.potracksgalore.com/lighted-pot-racks/black/ovaldecorlightedpotrack.cfm).
