My old hound dog woke me up at 6:30, to let her out to go pee. Wow, what a morning - maybe 4-6 inches of snow, very cold, and an incredible wind. The whole house was creaking under the weight of it. I turned on the radio and, yep!, snow day for everyone.
Our winter weather advisory states (temps in Fahrenheit):
EXPECT NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 45 MPH THIS MORNING TO DROP WIND CHILLS TO 25 TO 35 BELOW ZERO AND CAUSE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW. PLAN ON REDUCED VISIBILITY AS LOW AS ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES IN OPEN AREAS. THE WINDS WILL DIMINISH TO 15 TO 25 MPH THIS AFTERNOON...MODERATING WIND CHILLS TO 15 TO 25 BELOW AND DIMINISHING THE BLOWING SNOW.
(-25 to -35 Fahrenheit is about -31 to -37 Celsius)(and 45 mph is about 72.5 kph)
For now, I'm snuggled in bed with my morning coffee, two cats and a kid. I need to go renew my driver's license, get my mop o' hair trimmed, and buy some groceries. In a bit.
