I am mighty! and A Day In The Life
Feb. 14th, 2008 12:36 pmToday's schedule:
7:30am -- get kids up, dressed and breakfasted
8:30am -- drom Luke off at grade school
8:50am -- drop Kyle and Sam off at High School
9am-10:30 -- sell my plasma at Biolife
10:45-11:15 -- grocery shop and go oh, shit! because I just realized that I forgot to get Valentines for Luke to give out in class. He and I talked yesterday about making little gift baggies to give out, instead of cards. I've got to get the groceries home and be at work by noon. Argh!(1)
So I buy some Starbursts and mini-Butterfingers, and some rose-colored plastic wrap, rush home, make up 21 little twistie-tied rose colored baggies, put away the groceries, drop the gift baggies to Luke (get a big hug!) and get to work just 15 min late.
Steve the cat got a reprieve on the neuter; cash crunch saves nuts. He's scheduled for a week from Tuesday.
The rest of the day(2):
12noon-2p -- Student Art Gallery (work-study job)
2p-9:30p -- Home Health Job
10p-12mid -- Art Monitor Job (also work-study)
(1) I forgot to get Valentines one year for Carl and Sam when they were in grade school. They were so disappointed, but I think I felt bad about it for a lot longer than they even remembered it. It is very uncool to disappoint a small child, especially when you promised.
(2) Carl, my 16yr old, is watching Luke tonight, and my Mom is bringing over supper.
