Where have all the flowers gone?
Mar. 1st, 2008 08:14 amAn interview with Lovelock: "Enjoy life while you can. Because if you're lucky it's going to be 20 years before it hits the fan."
Most people are dismissive of Lovelock because he offers no solutions. I think that he's right. If I didn't think that there was a pretty good chance he's right, I'd probably be managing a restaurant or selling furniture. I'm really good at those things. If I was younger, I'd try for Physician's Assistant or even General Practitioner; I might still try for the Physician's Assistant, or at least keep up the studies on my own. I'm not sure what educational opportunities my grandchildren will have, and I might be teaching them.
I know that this all sounds absolutely wacko. You have no idea how much I pray that Lovelock is wrong.
The five year plan for my family is to finish school. I told Mike that I'd stay in the States until 2012, and reevaluate.
