ljgeoffIt's chilly today, and gray, but there's no rain. I've breakfasted on toast with cinnamon sugar, and coffee. Sam is home from school today - his birthday is tomorrow, and this is our tradition. In the past, we've gone out to lunch together, but this year we'll all go out to supper, instead.
Yesterday I got my schedule wrong. I thought that yesterday was my day off. So I got a call at 7:15 - you're supposed to be here! - and jumped into my clothes and rushed in, arriving 45 min late from my scheduled time. My boss Russ is an honestly nice guy. I think that he's a little sweet on me. After work, I went off and sold my plasma. I finished up there around 5:30pm, and headed home, stopping at the store for some supper, and stopping at Family Video to rent a movie for the boys. At home, the boys and I loaded the dirty dishes from yesterday into the dishwasher, and I made supper. They watched their movie, and I layed around and read till around 9pm. Happily, Mike and I were able to squeeze in some, ah, private time. I remembered the cat - my mom and dad are out of town, and I was supposed to stop and feed their cat. Mike came with me, and at my parent's house, I went looking for some old pictures that my dad had mentioned - and found some of them, I think. I also found a copy of a newspaper article that reported the death of my great-grandfather Laskowska, who had fallen dead on the street of an apoplexy. On the same newspaper page was an article about the investigation of the Lindburg baby kidnapping. Very cool. We headed home, stopping to pick food for my cats, and then I read until 3am.
It was a full day, a normal day - well, except for staying up till 3am.
