ljgeoffEvery muscle in my back hurts. Oh My God. I know that every person ever born goes through this. I've heard other people talk about it. But it's different when it's *you*.
I'm getting too old for this shit.
I hauled seven heavy construction-grade plastic bags of wet, stinking clothes and blankets to the laundry. I hauled the roto-rooter and all the cable down to the basement, unclogged the drain, (Kyle helped me switch the cables out, or I'd still be down there), hauled the roto-rooter and cables back up, showered my fragrant self, went to class, and now I'm heading home and I'll go haul all the now-clean&dry clothes (with Sam's help) back home from the laundry.
I should stop and buy a lemon, 'cause my hands still stink. And they hurt. I tore one of my nails back and have three little cuts. Which reminds me - neosporin!
Holy Wah. Oh, yeah. And I got up at 4:45, put all Luke's stuff out for school, got dressed, walked the dogs, opened the shop and made muffins, and worked 'till 10am.
And another thing -- Justin came home right before I was about to go return the rooter and go to class. He'd spent the day working with his uncle, who owns a fencing company. While he was working, some kind of post on a cable slipped and bashed him in the ribs. He thinks one of his ribs is broken, and asked if I'd take him to the walk-in clinic. He has Blue Cross through his Dad, but he doesn't have a card.
I told him to try to get his Aunt to take him (she live 5 blocks away) and if she couldn't, I would when I got back. His Uncle wrapped his ribs with a bandage and told him that's all he needed, but he was really in a lot of pain. I told him that if his Aunt wouldn't take him, to just take it easy and wait for me. Huh. I don't even know if I *can* take him in; he's 17 and I'm no relation. Bleh. Guess I'll know when I get home.
