Instead of running around like a frelling madwoman, I have decided to sit and drink a cup of coffee and make rhubarb bread this morning. The rhubarb bread is baking and the coffee is brewing.

I have finished with the first half of my summer session classes. I'm pretty sure that I got a B+ in physiology (I was really thinking for a while there that I might get an A-, but I choked on the comprehensive final) but I'm not sure what I got in the Native Studies class.

Monday I'll start on my second half of the semester, the silly Spanish I class that I failed back in '79.

I got an email two nights ago from an editor who's putting together an anthology of Native SF/F/horror, and who suggested that I submit something. I am still beaming. I have an idea, and I've been working on it, switching between the short and a chapter of Lewis Door. I should have them both finished up by next week.

I have a house guest, an old friend and lover who's in town job hunting. He's watching my kids while I work and cleaning my house. He and his wife have a 2 1/2 yr old, and just had a new baby 4 days before my Ella-grandbaby was born - they're about 50 miles away, at her folks'. She's coming for a visit tonight, and bringing the kids, so I will have babies to bounce when I get home from work.
