ljgeoffThe reference page to my essay has now officially taken me longer to write than the damn essay. I hate the tediousness of putting together a list of references. And I don't like APA; the author's name and date thingy at the end of the sentence makes my eyes stutter and I lose my train of thought. But, well, thank god I'm not typing the damn thing on a typewriter -- I probably would've given up by now.
We had an interesting discussion about education in my social psych class yesterday. You know, more and more, I realize that I'm getting so much more out of this process than I did when I was in my 20's. Anyways, my social psych professor's specialty is motivation, and we talked about how it's well known that our current method of mass education is doesn't work very well, but efforts to change the system always hit against the brick wall of conservatism -- that is, the "we've always done it this way" kind of thinking. I'm kinda crushing on this professor, and the fact that he's my age and unattached makes it a bit more problematic than it used to be.
If I can afford it, I think I will go to college for the rest of my life. It is damn fun.
