sicker than I thought

It seems that the chest cold I had has morphed into pneumonia. Actually, I just diagnosed myself, so take that with a grain of salt. I haven't had this for a while. I'm trying to decide what to do. My mom is a nurse and might have some antibiotics on hand.

symptoms:

chest cold
fever
tightness in chest
wheezing and crackling with breath
exhaustion
lightheaded

The exhaustion started yesterday, and the fever started today. Right now it's around 101.4. Which reminds me, I need to take some tylenol, stupid.

Unfortunatley, I'm at my work, with my little old people. I just realized the severity of my condition when I 1) dropped a quart of OJ on the kitchen floor and 2) almost passed out cleaning it up. That's when the red flag went up and I took my temp (102). If I do have pneumonia, I'd guess that I have the bacterial kind, which isn't contageous unless you're swapping body fluids. So cover all the coughs, wash hands a lot and no kissing. Bleh, I really, really wish I could get out of here, but there's no way. Damn.

I'm not a doctor, and I've never played one on TV, but I've written one as the protagonist in the WIP and I'll second that: I think you have something serious. My step-dad has had pneumonia for about a month now. Call your mommy! You'll feel better....

Mom's on a plane as I write this. I called my Dad - she gets in at 8pm, and I'll call her before I head home in case she has some antibiotics on hand.

Poor lj. My whole family was down with that in January, we fell one after another like dominos. We will send you all the telepathic mojo we can but don't forget to drink lotsa fluids.
