Feb. 6th, 2005 10:06 amYesterday morning, when it was still dark, Len got on a plane and flew of to his friend Galen's, in Oklahoma. Galen is an army MP. He's going to Iraq, and Len wanted to see him before he left. Len had a person escorting him with a wheelchair when he changed planes. Everything went very smooth. He'll be back in two weeks.
I'm feeling better every day. The scar from my hernia repair is about 8" long. The bladder repair was laprascopic, so I just have round stab holes from that. The doc who did my hernia repair said that women don't usually get hernia's like mine; mine was what they call an 'old man's hernia'. I think that means that my abdominal muscles are too weak for the lifting that I do, so time to really work on my abs. I *hate* working my abs. The YMCA is giving the families of deployed soldiers a free membership, and I took the boys yesterday, and checked out their classes and workout area. I'm going to start doing the cardio next week.
