Last weekend when Mike was home, we all went out to a movie (300) with our friends Audrey and Toby. Mike had drill (National Guard) the weekend before, and was clean-shaven. Since he tends to shave just once a month (he keeps the mustache) and since he is not a very hairy guy, his beard isn't smooth or full. Audrey commented on how nice he looked without the scruffy almost-a-beard.

He *does* look very nice without his beard. But I'd have to say that I prefer the stubble. Len usually has a beard, too -- a full, magnificent red beard.

I was noodeling this morning about why I prefer men's faces with hair. What I come up with is that facial hair on men accentuates "not woman" to me. And I like that.

Then I started thinking of the differences, for me, between "not woman" and "masculine." I'm a bit stumped on that one. What about you? What are some of the differences between "not woman" and "masculine"?
