ljgeoffWell, it was a quiet day in the ol' meat department. Quiet, but frantic; I pretty much had the department to myself. Clocked in at 7am and finally clocked out a little after 5 pm - with a one hour lunch and another 20 min mid-morning break, it was a long day. I'm snarfing down a frozen pizza (on sale! 2/$1), and then I'm off to Len's.
Last night we had an SCA meeting, and it was great fun. My first try at combat. I loved it! We took the kids, and my old friend Greg Shirtz was there, too, with his kids.
Len was part of the demo, taking a lecture's role, and Gabriel and Liam did the more physical stuff. I did get Len to spar with me a bit, and he dispatched me rather effortlessly. Elsbeth, Len's ex, was there, and Len was distressed, though he tried not to show it. Laura called me at work, for a quick scheduling conference, and said that he was still a bit upset. I hope that he'll be able to put it aside when I come over.
Tomorrow is my day off. I plan to work on chapter seven (holy wah, half way through!), and spend the day cleaning house. Len's coming over to keep me company while I scrub the toilet.
