ljgeoffYesterday was Laura's birthday. Yea Laura!
Getting to know Len and Laura is very wonderful and also strange and boundry-pushing. But not in a bad way, more in a growing way.
I'm still having a hard time letting the age stuff go. Both of Len and Laura's parents are my parents age - I think that's why my and Mike's age is no big deal. Yesterday, Laura turned 23.
When we went over, Len was in bed. It hadn't been a good day for him. We snuggled for an hour or so, and Mike and Laura snuggled in the livingroom. Rose was there, too, and she bounced from one grouping to the other.
It's a very small apartment. Laura was feeling frisky but shy, so she dragged Mike off to the bathroom. (Oh, I can't help but chuckle) Rose and I got Len up and into the livingroom. Mike and Laura came out about half an hour later, and we started talking about kinks and fetishes. Laura squirmed a bit, and, red faced, said that she couldn't "do anything" around voices.
I didn't hear what she said. "Around horses?" I asked. "Well, that's an odd one."
"No, no," she sputtered. "Around VOICES, I mean, if I can hear other people talking."
But it was too late. The quips from Len began to flow, and we were all roaring. Poor Laura was red-faced, rolling her eyes. We all gave her hugs. But I think the My Little Pony thing is gonna stick.
What a wonderful, strong, beautiful woman she is.
