I had an epiphanous conversation with a new friend yesterday. We were talking about our childern, and I talked fondly about how my younger sons are as geeky as Mike and I are. Then I mentioned how I never understood how my oldest son was so different - a foot-ball playing, GQ-preppy, cheer leader dating kind of kid.

"Oh," she nodded, "He was the rebelious one."

I always say that one of our kids is ggoing to be a Red Sox fan...just to rebel. (I'm a Mets fan and the wife's a Yankee fan.)
