Oct. 27th, 2004 05:44 pmToday, I turned the mortgage application in. The banker was somewhat perplexed as to why three couples would want to live together. I hope that my shpeel about combined resouces was sufficient for him. He required a budget sheet from me, so I went home and put one together. The national average of percent household income spent on PITI (Principle, Interest, Taxes, and Insurance) is 30%. Ours is 17% (she says with a smuggly). Our utilities (heat, water/sewer, electricity) come to another 13% - the national average for that is about 12% - what can I say, it's a huge barn of a building.
The one thing that I'm worried about is the house here in Negaunee. We *should* be able to rent it with no problem - but if there is a problem, it's gonna really hurt. But, well, *damn* the torpedos!
