My day off

I need to spend about 3 hours on housework today. Bleh. I hate housework. But I'm unhappy with the stacks of dirty dishes, crunchy floor, and stacks of old mail/magazines/kids school papers, computer disks sliding off of every flat surface, toys everywhere (raise your hand if you've ever stepped on a Lego with your bare feet) ...

Mike has said that if I get the promotion in June, he will consider the purchase of the Ishpeming building. Len suggests that his lover and friend Megan will be happy to be part of the household. That would get us plenty of paying housemates to pay the bills; it's very doable.

I think that I'll start in the kitchen this morning, with the dishes, and the counter tops, and then the floor. Then I will tackle the living room, the library, and the dining room, in that order. The upstairs bathroom needs a good scrub, and the litter boxes are past-due. I need to go find a hair-tie...
